Sample Preparation
JINNING utilize conventional LM2 and LM5 ring mills for pulverizing the samples. These mills are time proven and reliable for this stage of the process.

Fire Assay
The laboratory uses furnace multi-loading systems utilizing 50 pots per fire and 100 cupels per cupellation.

Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (AAS)
JINNING use an Agilent 55 AA instrument (known for its ruggedness and reliability). It is a stand-alone and double beam AA that doesn’t compromise on performance

Inductively Coupled Plasma – Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OES_
The laboratory uses an ICP-OES from Varian (now Agilent). The Vista-PRO is a very robust instrument, improving productivity and precision by providing true simultaneous measurement of all elements from parts per billion to percent levels. It provides full wavelength coverage from 167-785 nm

The Essa model LM5 mill is used for pulverizing ores, minerals, soils, metallurgical samples, ceramics, aggregates, chemicals and similar particulates. It finds particular application in mineral laboratories needing to prepare larger, more representative samples.
Typically, samples of approximately 3 to 3.5 kg mass can be ground to 90 to 95% minus 75 micron, while larger samples up to approximately 4 to 5 kg can be reduced to approximately 0.5 to 0.8 mm particle size (all subject to the physical characteristics of the material. and the condition of the grinding elements). Grinding time will be approximately 5 to 8 minutes.

Fire Assay

After the cupellation process the noble metal prills are digested. The resultant solution then analyzed via AAS or ICP-OES.
